Privacy policy

ClearSpeed GPS is designed to show GPS speed without accounts, ads, subscriptions, analytics SDKs, or tracking.
App Store privacy summary

- Location use: processed on your device while the app is open.
Information ClearSpeed GPS uses
ClearSpeed GPS uses your device location while the app is open to calculate your speed, trip distance, elapsed time, average speed, and maximum speed. This location data is processed on your device. The app does not use background location.
Information stored on your device
ClearSpeed stores your settings and, when you end a trip, a trip summary: start and end time, duration, distance, average speed, and maximum speed. Summaries are stored locally on your device. They do not include route maps or raw location samples. You can delete all saved summaries in Settings → History → Clear History, or by deleting the app. Like other app data, this information may be included in your own device backups under your control.
Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share personal information from ClearSpeed GPS. Your location and trip history are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else’s.
Tracking, ads, and analytics
- No advertising SDKs are included.
- No analytics SDKs are included.
- No account is required.
- No in-app tracking is performed.
- No data is used to track you across apps or websites.
Data retention
Because ClearSpeed GPS does not upload or store your personal data on our servers, we do not retain personal data from the app. Trip summaries remain on your device until you clear them or delete the app.
Optional website analytics
Updated September 7, 2026. This section applies to the marketing website. If you choose “Allow analytics,” we load Google Analytics to measure website visits and App Store link clicks. Google receives page paths, referring website names, campaign labels, browser and device information, and network information needed to receive the request. Analytics cookies may be stored in your browser. We disable advertising signals and personalization.
Google Analytics is not loaded before you opt in. “No thanks” keeps it off. Use “Website analytics choices” in the footer to change your choice. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. This website measurement does not access app content, photographs, GPS coordinates, or trip history. App Store link clicks do not tell us whether you installed or purchased the app.

Children’s privacy
ClearSpeed GPS is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If ClearSpeed GPS changes how it handles data, this policy will be updated to describe those changes.
